Iowa Mediation Service offers a self-paced, asynchronous online course introducing participants to the foundational skills and practices of mediation and conflict management.
Throughout the 40-hour program, participants will explore the mediation process, the role of the mediator, conflict dynamics, active listening, effective questioning, neutrality, and ethical considerations.
The course also includes live virtual mediation roleplays with experienced Iowa Mediation Service staff, providing participants with real-world opportunities to practice and apply their skills.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive an Iowa Mediation Service Certificate in Introduction to Mediation Skills.
